Each bottle candle boasts a unique, natural tone, mirroring the various beeswax bars Jem offers for sale. This distinct character arises from the beeswax cappings, scrapings, and broken comb pieces collected by Jem. The beeswax is sorted according to tone, resulting in some wax piles being darker due to their older origin, possibly originating from the brood chamber of the hive. Rest assured, every type of wax used is of excellent quality. The selected wax is melted, meticulously filtered to remove any hive debris, and then poured into handmade moulds to create candles.
 
The candle you purchase may exhibit a light yellow, golden yellow, beige, or antique brown hue. Message Jem if you are keen to have a particular tone, and she will see what she has available.
 
These beeswax bottle candles are crafted using a mould that has been created from a silicone cast of a very old bottle, making them a one-of-a-kind addition to your collection. Beeswax candles burn cleanly and radiantly without producing smoke, enhancing the ambiance.
 
Enjoy a burn time of approximately 15-20 hours in a draft-free environment. Each candle weighs approximately 360g. Ensure that the candle is placed on a solid, even, non-flammable surface before lighting. There's a lot of beeswax in this candle so please exercise caution when burning.
 
Rest assured, candles will be carefully wrapped in tissue and/or bubble wrap for safe delivery.
